Regardless of whether you’re considering doing your 1st triathlon or you’ve been involved in the sport for years, here at Sparta it’s all about you…
Your Goals. Your Life. Your Program. Your Way.
I call this the Sparta Advantage ™. It’s my philosophy which puts you in the drivers seat of designing your program so you can not only feel confident that it will meet your needs but you’ll quickly see results because you’re missing less sessions and are training more consistently. You can read more about it here.
But it’s quite simple; there are no stock standard, “off-the-shelf” training programs. I don’t take a standard program, stick your name on the top, add some specific times for you to hit in your sessions and then pass it off as “your” program.
Regardless of your fitness level, experience, time available or your goals, my fully customised training programs are designed for you.
I’ll start from the ground up by asking you about your goals, background, lifestyle, time available and social commitments. Only then will we start talking about the training and how we can fit it around your commitments.
It’s your life so it needs to be your program; one specifically written to suit you.
After all, it’s your life. So let’s work together to develop your program.
Ok, let’s get started ~
Maybe your goal is just to finish your 1st triathlon.
Perhaps you’re aiming to do your 1st Sprint triathlon, your 1st Nepean Triathlon or your goal for the season is to set a new PB over the Olympic distance.
Or maybe you’ve been in the sport for a couple of seasons and are ready to step up to the long course (70.3) distance.
Or maybe it’s time you finally tackle that ‘bucket list’ and cross the finish line in your 1st Ironman.
Whatever your goal, you’re a highly motivated, determined yet busy person who is wondering how on earth you’re supposed to squeeze the extra training into your life.
Of course, you’ll need to do things in your training that you’ve never done before (and that’s ok).
I can show you how.
We’ll work together, with constant discussion and feedback over the course of your entire program, to make sure that the program fits your life. This is partnership and I’m here for the long haul so you can feel confident that you’ve got the right program that will not only fit your life but help you achieve your wildest dreams in this sport!
Now that you’ve decided on your goals, it’s time to customise your package.
You can choose between ~
The fine print ~
I specialise in helping busy people. I used to be a lawyer (with a long commute!) so I know how hard it can be to balance all the different commitments in your life.
Whether you are at home raising kids, working full time, caring for ageing parents, working night shifts or juggling your kid’s sporting commitments, I’ve helped lots of everyday, busy people just like you fit your training around your life. So you too will be able to experience that incredible sense of pride, excitement and accomplishment that floods in when you cross the finish line and achieve your goal.
So if you are after a traditional coach, I’m probably not the person for you.
If you are after a ‘dog eat dog’, macho environment, then Sparta isn’t right for you.
There’s one more thing you need to know…
This is personal to me and I treat it as a partnership. We’re a team. I want you to succeed as badly as you do; it’s really important to me that you achieve your goals. To do that, your program must fit into your life. I’m not here to dictate what your training program should look like. I’m here to help you work out the best way for you to fit your training into your busy life – and to make the most of the limited time you have free. So your constant and open feedback is critical if the program we develop for you is to fit your life.
After all, it’s all about you!
That’s the beauty of the internet – it’s no problem!
I’ve worked ‘virtually’ with clients interstate and around the world who have all achieved their goals.
Your program is delivered online. Plus with emails and even Skype, it’s easy super to keep the lines of communication open so you can get on with your busy life.
Well let’s get you started!
Click the button or here to send me an email. Just tell me what your goal/s are and which package you’re interested in. I’ll get back to you within 12 hours to arrange a time for a chat.
If you live locally, we’ll arrange a time to meet for coffee. And if you are elsewhere in the world, we’ll catch up on the phone or on Skype. We’ll talk about what training and races you’ve done so far, your time constraints and commitments, your injury history and your goals over the coming months and then we’ll starting developing your program.
From there, I’ll take all your information away, design a program that’s right for you and upload it to TrainingPeaks. You’ll then be able to access it from your computer or mobile device and you’ll be one step closer to your next exciting goal!
That’s no problem!

Once we had our meeting, I was more than comfortable to train with Sparta remotely. Using TrainingPeaks is fabulous and you feel like you’re in constant contact with your coach.
I physically look different, I’m leaner and more muscular. My endurance has increased substantially and I have seen constant improvements in all the elements of Triathlon.
Sparta has kept me focused and on track to my specific goal. There are no generic one size fits all programs at Sparta PT, no sir. There’s are no big ego’s just a lot of big laughs and a positive healthy outlook on life.
~ Lucas Spackman, 35. Husband and father of 2 who works full time.
Finished his 1st Ironman in 10:26 at Ironman Australia 2014.
Thanks to Sparta, I was able to go from a Sprint triathlon to Half Ironman/70.3 comfortably.
I was concerned whether the training schedule would work in with my ever changing commitments. I didn’t have to worry for too long – the program was designed around me 🙂
It was the commitment I needed to get out there and achieve my goal of moving into long distance triathlons. I was able to achieve a goal that I had been dreaming about for a while.I would probably still only be talking about it if it wasn’t for Jen!
– Olivia Goodchild, 35.Wife and mother of 1 who works full time.
2013 70.3 Ironman Yeppoon finisher.
I went from no swimming or cycling in more than 12 months, to completing a Half Ironman triathlon after 6 months of training.
That, to me, is testament to the training program Sparta put together for me, and even taking into account the weeks where I had to reduce my training load due to a niggle that had the potential to get worse (but didn’t).
If you want results without the risk of injury then definitely take advantage of the individualised support, expertise and experience that Sparta offers. It will definitely be one of the best decisions ever made.
