Regardless of whether you’re considering your first trail run or fell in love with trail running years ago, here at Sparta it’s all about you…
Your Goals. Your Adventures. Your Program. Your Way.
I call this the Sparta AdvantageTM. It’s my philosophy which puts you in the drivers seat of designing your program. You’ll feel confident that it will meet your needs and you’ll quickly see improvements because you miss fewer sessions and are training more consistently. You can read more about it here.
But quite simply; there are no stock standard, “off-the-shelf” training programs here. I don’t take a standard program, stick your name at the top, add some specific times for you to hit in your training and then pass it off as “your” program.
I’ll start from the ground up by asking you about your goals, background, lifestyle, time available and social commitments. Only then will we start talking about your training and how we can fit it around your other commitments.
This means you can be certain that your program has been fully customised to suit you. It will take into account how, where and when you want to run. For many people, trail running is just as important for your mental health as it is for your physical fitness. So if you want to include a social run with your friends that’s more about catching up and drinking coffee afterwards, that’s ok too!
It’s your life so it needs to be your program; one specifically written to suit you. So let’s work together to develop your program.
Ok, let’s get started ~
Maybe your goal is just to finish your 1st trail race.
Perhaps you want to step up and run Woodford to Glenbrook for the first time.
Or maybe the lure of the 50km distance – or beyond – is calling you.
Whatever your goal, you’re a highly motivated, determined yet busy person. You’ve got adventures and goals you’d like to pursue.
Still, you can’t help up wonder how on earth you’re supposed to squeeze the extra training into your life.
At the same time, it’s important to you that you don’t lose your love of trail running – you certainly don’t want it to become a chore.
I can show you how.
We’ll work together, with constant (at least weekly) discussion and feedback to make sure that your program fits your life. This is partnership and I’m here for the long haul so you can feel confident that you’ve got the right program that will fit your life and help you achieve your wildest dreams in this sport!
Now that you’ve decided on your goals, it’s time to customise your package.
You can choose between ~
The fine print ~
I specialise in helping busy people. I used to be a lawyer (with a long commute!) so I know how hard it can be to balance all the different commitments in your life.
Whether you are at home raising kids, working full time, caring for ageing parents, working night shifts or juggling your kid’s sporting commitments, I’ve helped lots of everyday, busy people just like you fit their trail running around their lives.
There’s one more thing you need to know…
This is personal to me and I treat it as a partnership. We’re a team. I want you to succeed as badly as you do! To do that, your program must fit into your life. I’m not here to dictate what your training program should look like. I’m here to help you work out the best way for you to make the most of the limited time you have free. So your constant and open feedback -via TrainingPeaks and emails / SMS – is critical if the program we develop for you is to fit your life and achieve the outcomes and results you want!
After all, it’s all about you!
That’s the beauty of the internet – it’s no problem!
I’ve worked ‘virtually’ with clients interstate and around the world who have all achieved their goals.
Your program is delivered online. Plus with emails and even Skype, it’s easy super to keep the lines of communication open so you can get on with your busy life.
It’s an important question you need to ask yourself because it’s not for everyone. Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of athletes online. And I’ve realised that online coaching only suits certain types of people. It suits people who ~
Whether you fit into those categories, the one essential element is open, honest and constant feedback and communication. That means:
Because while I’m good at guessing, I can’t read your mind 🙂 And if I don’t know what training you’re doing (or not doing) and what else is going on in your life that affects your training, I’m not coaching – I’m simply writing you a program based on guesswork. And, to be honest, that’s no fun for me and it’s certainly not going to bring you the results you want.
Click the button to send me an email. Just tell me what your goal/s are and which package you’re interested in. I’ll get back to you within 12 hours to arrange a time for a chat.
If you live locally, we’ll arrange a time to meet for coffee. And if you are elsewhere in the world, we’ll catch up on the phone or on Skype. We’ll talk about what training and races you’ve done so far, your time constraints and commitments, your injury history and your goals over the coming months and then we’ll starting developing your program.
From there, I’ll take all your information away, design your program and upload it to TrainingPeaks. You’ll then be able to access it from your computer or mobile device and you’ll be one step closer to your next exciting goal!
That’s no problem! Click here to send me email and I’ll get back to you asap.
Get to know me and my style. If you like what you see on this website and on the Facebook page, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll like your program too!
