One of the most popular, and dominating, triathletes on the planet at the moment is Chrissie Wellington.
Having broken multiple world records & placed high in overall race results – she recently finished 5th overall at Challenge Roth 2011 beating lots of professional male athletes in the process – the world is watching Chrissie ahead of the Hawaii Ironman World Championships in Kona this weekend.
Chrissie has made it easy for the world to follow her journey; over the last year she has taken to Twitter where, as @chrissiesmiles, she openly & warmly engages with her fans, sharing her wisdom, experience & advice.
Given that there are few better triathletes on the planet at the moment & whatever she is doing in her training is clearly working (for her), I thought I would leave this post to Chrissie’s words of wisdom. I have no doubt that every age group athlete can learn something from her –
I think it is fair to say that every triathlon fan around the world can’t wait to see what will happen in the women’s race at Kona this year. Best of luck Chrissie!(c) Kim Kohen, 2009
